men and 1 in 200 women but how often do we think about
them?


Demii Lee Walker investigates how colour blind artists
navigate the world and their profession without having full
colour vision, as well as how their condition gives them a
unique voice in the art world.

Kathryn Albany-Ward, the Founder and CEO of the
organisation Colour Blind Awareness, informs Demii about
some of the struggles that people with colour vision
deficiency face and how they can be supported. She has
been advocating for more people to understand the
condition in the population in general and in education.
Demii also speaks to two artists who are colour blind. Rob
Mitchell who makes vibrant sculptures that explores
mental health. Through his art, his main purpose is to help
people who deal with anxiety.
And Paul Scott Canavan who makes digital artwork such
as concept art and art for popular games like League of
Legends, Dungeons and Dragons, and Magic the
Gathering.

Licklemor is the commercial arm of the MAMA Youth Project (MYP) – a registered charity that equips young people from challenging backgrounds with the skills to gain employment in the media industry.
