Watch me paint "Marshland Symphony" in real time using acrylic on canvas. This painting started out as a repaint over an old abstract, which I had already covered up with gesso. My intent was to complete a more abstract landscape, but as usual, the painting took on a life of its own as I went along. This is the whole video of the process, after I sketched in a horizon area. No reference photo was used, the scene is from my imagination based on my memories of many marshes I have visited and photographed over the years.
