March 2006. Twenty years ago, when universities had money and trace remnants of a spirit of adventure, Newcastle University music dept sent a bunch of improvisors in a 60-seater coach to York to spend a day with music students at York St John, taking part in a workshop led by John Edwards (double bass) and Mark Sanders (drumkit). In everyone performed as a big band in two 25ish minute sets. Both cab be seen in full at the Doxology YouTube Channel / @doxology-toon
