A Tale of Two Halves - Part 1 - Felixstowe North Development

Описание: I started this video in 2019 when I heard of the Felixstowe Local Plan which would eradicate this vast open space for housing . It's been called Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood, Local Plan, Felixstowe North Development and more and was the biggest by far housing development of many across Felxstowe and the Trimleys.

The key point is most of this development falls within the perimeter of Gulpher Road, a quiet country road of the most glorious open and natural countryisde, uised by walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and those that want an escape from the hustle bustle. Felixstowe has the Sea and this open space, the best of both worlds.

However this open space is now under threat. We won't have the best of both worlds as this countryside is irreplaceable. This place where the town literally 'slows down' as seen on my previous video from 2019 is sorely needed to be kept. Mental wellbeing a key focus in this day and age.

I've sat collecting footage until 2021 then sort of gave up as it appeared no-one was interested. Now it's more known about I felt it time to tidy it up, add a recent end slide and publish.
