TRANSLATION OF THE POLISH TEXT:
Where did she come from against my will? The hell must have brought her here! Even though her sadness hurts so much in my heart, it's too late, it has already happened! Ha! Maybe, when I see her, I will soothe the tears of misery and then away! away! away! I'm afraid of her tears.
Why in those lonely moments, while the heart is longing, when the soul is boiling, I see her face gleaming amidst the fawn braids, her coral lips in a charming smile, her two pupils under the long lashes? Why is the soul suddenly agitated like a river when the wind blows? Ah, what did the poor orphan do to me that she would be tormented by eternal despair, that I would share my anguish with her sorrow!
