~ It’s always a great day when you are at the Chesapeake Bay ~ the sun is shining, the weather is warm, I’m ready for a Bay Side Retreat, are you?

ESCAPE to our cottage directly on the Chesapeake Bay, step out the door onto sandy beach, 5 yards from water! The cottage is located on Hays Beach, a private lil paradise down red dirt road near the southern most tip of Maryland!

At any given time of day, you may only see a few people on the stretch of beach!! So basically all to yourself!!

If you are looking for an quiet getaway from the hustle of daily life, then this is the perfect place for you and your family!

Kids can play in the sand right in front of the cottage, while you sit on the screened in porch with a watchful eye. Drop your kayak or paddle board in the water 5 yards from your porch!.

The views of the sunrising over the Bay are breathtaking ~ What a great way to start your day!

Early morning is also a great time to find those little treasures and sea glass.

Throw your line in and catch dinner right in your own front yard.

Maryland blue crabs can be scooped up in a net or bucket just steps away, down the beach to the right , where the Creek meets the Bay.

Bring your paddleboard or kayak for enjoyment ~ or use ours ( 2 provided at cottage ( use at your own risk and responsibly). Life jackets also available.

What ever the occasion is that brings you to our cottage, you are sure to find exactly what your soul needs!

: Open floor plan in living room / kitchen area, futon couch for more sleeping space (full size bed) and sofa chair. Living room has new 65” TV . With 240 channels.

: Bedrooms are spacious with lots of room to unpack and put your belongs in the closet or dressers. Bedrooms have King size bed and 2nd bedroom has full size bed. New 43” tv’s in each bedroom.

: In the Laundry Room you will find washer/ dryer, vacuum, cleaning supplies etc.

: Bathroom has a wall of hooks to hang your towels, swimwear etc. (Towels provided)

: Kitchen area has new flooring, island, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and a Keurig coffee maker, as well as a regular coffee maker.

Stocked with your essentials, including a crap pot if you choose to boil up the fresh catch from the day, blender, electric frying pan etc

: linens, towels/ wash cloths are provided. A few beach towels as well.

Fishing poles are on the porch for your enjoyment, bait can be purchased at Buzz’s Country Store ( address at cottage) or the bait shop as you were coming into town on Rt 235, as well as Bay Mart, and Ridge Market.

Rod holders are also at the house for your convenience.

Point Lookout State Park Museum, Lighthouse, Recreation Area is 5 miles from cottage. This is one of the top State Parks in the State.

Our little gem on the water is surrounded by creatures, that call this land home, please respect the mammals, and wildlife if you encounter them.

Birding in exception in these parts, especially in the fall and winter months.

The turtles 🐢 can be seen relaxing in the early morning hours, of early summer, their head will stick out of the water as they float about.
