Tony and I were showing waterfront homes in Ridge, in Saint Marys County, last week and we stopped by Sunset Cove at Point Lookout Marina for lunch, when we were finished. The weather was so beautiful, and to be honest, we could not have picked a better spot to eat - Sunset Cove restaurant definitely offers amazing water views of Jutland Creek and Smith Creek! It was the perfect day to take in these absolutely gorgeous views!

We walked inside the restaurant. This was our first time here! The restaurant is decorated in pretty tropical colors. The restaurant has an open feel, it is very clean and bright, drenched with natural light from the numerous windows on every wall! There is a bar at the front of the restaurant where you can pull up a stool and enjoy a drink. The bar area opens up to a large dining room with amazing views of the waterfront! There is a 2nd dining room with even better views of the waterfront! And although staying inside the air conditioned dining room did sound appealing, I changed my mind quickly when we ventured outside to the the rear porch.

It was gorgeous outside! Sunset Cove offers a very laid back and relaxing outdoor setting! That tropical feeling continues outside with banana trees and bright flowers growing off to the side, an aqua and coral colored cabana in the yard, and of course those awesome water views!

Tristan, our waiter seated us outside and provided us with menus. We enjoyed talking with Tristan and he answered all of our questions about the menu and offered some suggestions. Sunset Cove’s menu is great with appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, various dinner entrees and even pizza! Per Tristan’s recommendation, we ordered the crab dip appetizer, to start!

The crab dip did not disappoint! It was warm, creamy, delicious and cheesy! The crab dip was served with crackers and soft fresh bread. Tony and I must have been pretty hungry after showing property all morning, and we gobbled this tasty crab dip up in no time at all!

Tristan then brought out our lunch.

I ordered Rockish Tacos, made with fried rockfish, topped with creamy cole slaw and a cilantro lime dressing. I chose onion rings as my side. Everything was fresh and delicious. The onion rings were piled high, at least for a few brief moments before I quickly demolished that tower of yummy goodness!

Tony ordered the Cove Club with a side of loaded fries. The Cove Club is amazing and like nothing we have seen on any other menu! It includes a crab cake, shrimp salad, bacon, lettuce and tomato served on toasted white bread. Can it get any better than this? I think this must be Sunset Cove’s signature sandwich! Tony said that this was a very filling, unique combination - he loved it! And those loaded fries did not only looked amazing, but tasted amazing, too!

After we said our farewells to Tristan other friendly staff, Tony and I decided to walk across the parking lot to the marina. Point Lookout Marina is very neat and tidy. They have both covered and uncovered deep water slips, they offer cabin rentals, RV hookups, a pool, boat parts and service including machine shop services, painting, gelcoat, mechanical, electrical and so much more!

Tony and i thought the food was great at Sunset Cove. We look forward to our next visit! The views from the restaurant and back porch were second to none! Tristan, our waiter, was very friendly and super attentive - we were thankful that he took the time to assist us with the menu and offer suggestions!

Tony and I really enjoyed our lunch at Sunset Cove at Point Lookout Marina, and we think you will, too !
