Описание: ISO 9001 has been revised several times since its initial publication in 1987 to reflect evolving quality management best practices. The major revisions occurred in 1994, 2000, 2008, and 2015. The latest version, ISO 9001:2015, emphasizes risk-based thinking and aligns with other management system standards. A revision is expected in 2026, with a draft being developed

Timeline: The Draft International Standard (DIS) is expected in June 2025. The Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) is expected between April and June 2026.  The final publication of ISO 9001:2026 is planned for September 2026

This upcoming revision aims to align ISO 9001 with the current needs of its users and the communities they serve, ensuring it remains valuable and effective. The current ISO 9001:2015 standard must address new trends and challenges such as:
Technological advancements: The rise of automation, AI, and Big Data (digitalisation) is transforming business operations.
Sustainability: Integrating environmental and social responsibility into core practices is becoming essential.
Remote and hybrid working: Following COVID-19, there has been an increase in remote and hybrid working which brings its own challenges regarding infrastructure, communication and working environment.
