Hello viewers, I'm Joel Syquia and in this series I take a solo motorbike journey from Manila to Ilocos Sur to feature 3 historic churches near Vigan that you shouldn't miss.
In this 3rd and final episode, we ride to the unassuming municipality of Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, to visit the St. William the Hermit Parish Church. The new church itself was built in 1827, but it's actually located in a historic complex that features the ruined walls of the first church, an old convent and the bell tower of the former parish church of St. William of Aquitaine. The complex is right beside the national road and it was recently restored in 2020. We then visit a nearby farm and cornfield to share a sumptuous lunch with some farmers.
This episode is dedicated to my Tita Nena, who encouraged me to continue with my channel as an apostolate, and to Lucenda Ragasa... may their souls rest in peace.
