In addition to the varying bpm, “Accelerate“ is an experiment with time signatures and pitch changes, suggesting speed changes, creating a sense of confusion and unsettle the listener. Speed-ups followed by slow-downs, small bursts that change rapidly and employ strategic and unexpected uses of silence and negative space to enhance dynamics. Bold sonic identifiers on complex layered sound beds, blend organic and synthetic sounds, playing with loud and soft contrasts, polyrhythms and syncopation.
