Описание: Land and Identity episode follows the lives of 25-year-old Lavern Maart and Jayden Salagee living in two different worlds but experiencing the same reality. Watch how they navigate and construct their individual identities whilst living in the Segregated Cape Town.

Through these young people, the film tries to articulate the dominant conversation around identity and how it is linked to land and the spaces young people occupy in the Cape Town. Lavern and Jayden allow us into their lives to experience first-hand what it means to be displaced, relocated, from a place you called home.

Youth Culture identifies young people that have decided to immerse themselves in the discourse on transformation in all spheres of life. Standing on the side line and just commenting on Facebook is not enough for these young mavericks. Through their voices, their journeys reveal a cascade of information that is not represented in the public domain. Through their life experiences South African audiences have the opportunity to put a face to the issues that are trending on our social network timelines.
