Esta es cómo una mora de Borja llevó a su hijo muerto a Santa María de Salas, que se lo resucitó.

"Quienquiera que en la Virgen confía y le ruega vehemente, Ella ha de valerle aunque sea de otra creencia."

De esta razón hizo Santa María de Salas un milagro hermoso y piadoso, por una mora de Borja, que tenía un hijo al que críaba muy vigoroso y se le murió, muy cuitado, de una fuerte dolencia.

Ella, con el dolor por el hijo, no sabía qué hacer y vio cómo las cristianas iban a Santa María de Salas, y oyó hablar de los milagros que Ella hacía, y tuvo la gran osadía de fiarse en la Virgen; y le encomendó el niño, y dispuso sus ofrendas.
Pero las moras sobre esto contendían mucho con ella, que les dijo:
"-Amigas, así Dios me defienda de mal, creo que mi esperanza vencerá vuestra porfía, porque yo llevaré mi hijo esta vez a Salas, con su imagen de cera, que ya la tengo comprada, y velaré en la iglesia de la muy bienaventurada Santa María y tengo para mí que ha de compadecerse de mi cuita."

Y se movió y fue luego, que no quiso tardar nada, maravillándose la gente; y cuando llegó a Salas, dijo a la Virgen:
"-Si tu ley no miente, dame a mi hijo y haré avenencia contigo."

Toda una noche entera veló así la desgraciada, pero ¿qué hizo la Virgen, la piadosa Reina?
Le resucitó al hijo, y esto fue muy de prisa; porque su gran poder sobrepasa toda sabiduría.

Cuando esto vio la mora, quedó muy maravillada, porque vio que se lo había devuelto vivo Santa María, a la que tuvo siempre gran reverencia.

This is how a Moorish woman took her dead son to Holy Mary of Salas (This is a town in the province of Huesca, Spain), and She revived him for her.
"The Virgin will aid whoever trusts in Her and prays faithfully to Her, although he be a follower of another law."
Concerning this, Holy Mary of Salas performed a beautiful and merciful miracle for a Mooress from Borja (This is a town in the province of Zaragoza, Spain) because a beautiful child she had and cared for had died pitifully from a very serious disease.
The woman, with grief for her son, did not know what to do. She saw how the Christians went to Holy Mary of Salas and heard of the miracles She performed and ventured to trust in the Virgin.
She commended the child to Her and prepared her offering. However, the Moorish women protested to her about this, but she told them: "Friends, if God protects me from harm, I believe that my hope will overcome your objections, for I shall take my son to Holy Mary of Salas right away, with this waxen image which I have bought for Her. I shall keep watch in the church of the most blessed Holy Mary, and I believe that She will sympathize with my woe."
She went at once, for she would not tarry, and carried her dead son, to the people's great amazement. When she arrived at Salas, she said to the Virgin: "If your law does not lie, give me my son, and I will make my peace with you."
Thus the poor woman kept watch a whole night through, and what did Holy Mary, the Merciful Queen, do? She revived her son for her in a trice, for Her power surpasses understanding.
When the Mooress saw this, she considered it a wondrous miracle, for her son had been dead for three days. She at once became a Christian, for she saw that Holy Mary had given him back to her alive, and she always held Her in great reverence.
