Today I'm taking you to Tshukudu Game Reserve, a vast private reserve of over 5,000 hectares, located at the edge of Kruger National Park. From the moment I arrive, I understand that the experience will be different. Here, wide open spaces dominate, the vegetation is dense, and the feeling of isolation is total. Very quickly, the savanna comes alive. I observe a pair of lions and their lioness, settled in the shade, perfectly calm. Their power is impressive, even at rest. The ranger explains the group's behavior, the hierarchy, and the phases of hunting and resting. I take the time to observe the details: the muscles beneath their skin, their gazes, their slow but controlled movements. Being so close to these iconic animals is a truly powerful experience. The most astonishing encounter of this visit is undoubtedly with a cheetah. An animal of incredible elegance, built for speed, it moves with an almost unreal grace. In a very controlled and respectful environment, I even have the opportunity to pet it, a rare and memorable experience. Feeling its fur, observing its calm demeanor, understanding its way of life allows me to appreciate just how powerful and fragile these animals are. The Tshukudu Game Reserve also plays an important role in raising awareness about wildlife. The explanations provided on-site help to better understand the challenges of conservation, species protection, and the coexistence of humans and nature. Here, a safari is not just a succession of spectacular images; it is also a learning experience. Throughout the visit, I travel through diverse landscapes: open savannah, wooded areas, and dusty tracks winding between the trees. The light changes throughout the day, revealing the contours and colors of Southern Africa. Every turn can hold a surprise, every stop becomes a privileged moment for observation. The Tshukudu Game Reserve offers a different approach to safari, more direct, more educational, while remaining spectacular. Seeing lions so close, approaching a cheetah, understanding their behavior and environment gives this experience a powerful dimension.
