In this video, you will learn how to do Child`s Pose for beginners.
Child's Pose or also known as Balasana is an excellent resting and counterpose for various asanas and a pose that's practiced in almost every yoga class. The pose is called a Child's pose because you form the shape of a baby.
The Benefits of Child's Pose:
Gently stretches the hips, thighs, and ankles and helps to relieve stress and anxiety. It lengthens and stretches the spine. Relieves neck and lower back pain when performed with the head and torso supported.
How to do a Child pose?
1. Kneel on the floor. Touch your big toes together and sit on your heels, then separate your knees about as wide as your hips or as it feels good for you.
2. Exhale and lay your torso down between your thighs.
3. Lay your hands on the floor alongside your torso, palms up, and release the fronts of your shoulders toward the floor.
4. Balasana is a resting pose. Stay anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes.
Let’s try to stay in a child pose for 60 sec. together…
