Your foot position matters because it effects your shin angle and the ability to recruit the glutes.
Next time you’re hip thrusting, I want you to record yourself from the side, and watch your shin angle.
If your feet are too far out in front, your shin angle will change and recruit your hamstrings.
If your feet are too close to your glutes, this too will alter your shin angle and recruit your quads.
When you extend your hips and lockout, your shins should be vertical. This is the optimal shin angle to recruit the glutes.
