Activity at the bird pond has slowed down some. We're at a point in the season when there just aren't as many birds here right now. The summer birds are gone and the last of the migrating birds have flown south, and, although, a few winter birds have arrived, most have not. At some point, the winter population will grow as White-throated Sparrows, Yellow-rumpted Warblers, kinglets, and juncos arrive. But for now, it's nice to enjoy the quieter time with the birds.
