How much time do you have to devote to it? How much time in your schedule can you free up?

How important is cashflow to you and are you willing to do a little extra work to keep the money in your pocket?

Number three: LEVERAGE
So do you have access to a stable of tried, true, reliable venders, cleaners, landscapers et cetera, that can help you manage the property? It's not a solo show.

Number four: CONTROL
How much control do you want to have over the experience you offer your guests and how your short-term rental is run?

And number five: LOCATION
How far from your short-term rental are you located? Are you close enough to deal with the day to day and problems that arise?

So those are the quick top five things to think about when you're deciding between Self Management and Traditional when it comes to your short term rental.
