This talk will introduce Web3 themes and technologies that will contribute towards financial inclusivity (especially in emerging countries). The viewer will be taken through Web3 primitives and will learn about the problems unbanked individuals encounter with the existing financial infrastructure. A set of solutions will be posed that can help solve these problems in the fullness of time. This talk will be more about using story telling as a way to help the audience learn about web3, the problems individuals face, and the solution that lies therein with smart contracts and tokenized ownership. Chris is the co-founder of Sphere, a Web3 buy-now-pay-later platform. Previously, he was managing a large portion of the security product portfolio at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (i.e. a competitor of AWS) and helped the federal government secure its critical infrastructure. He was the original product manager at Cylance Inc. (acquired by BlackBerry for $1.4B) and graduated from UC Irvine focusing on computer science areas like human computer interaction and malware analysis.
