Roxette is a legendary Swedish pop-rock duo that became one of the most successful international acts of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Often cited as the biggest Swedish export after ABBA, they sold over 75 million records worldwide.

Legacy
After Marie’s diagnosis in 2002, the band took a long hiatus, eventually returning for a massive world tour in 2009. Following Marie's passing in 2019, Per Gessle has continued to keep the legacy alive.
PG Roxette:** In 2022, Per began releasing music under the name **PG Roxette**, featuring long-time collaborators and backing vocalists to honor the "Roxette sound."
2025/2026 Tour: Most recently, Per Gessle reformed the live band with Swedish star Lena Philipsson taking over lead vocals for a massive world tour through 2025 and 2026, bringing their hits back to arenas globally.

The Iconic Music Video
The video is just as famous as the song itself. It was filmed at the Borgholm Castle ruins on the Swedish island of Öland.
The Visuals
It features Marie performing barefoot in the wind-swept ruins, contrasting the cold stone of the castle with the warmth of her performance.
Although it looks like a live performance in the video, it was actually lip-synced to the studio track.
