Earlier this month we took a VS–9 to Queenstown to explore how electric hydrofoiling could transform the town's transport network.
With huge growth and more than three million visitors each year, Queenstown's roads and infrastructure are pushed to the limit. The Lake is almost empty at any given time and presents and incredible opportunity for a blue highway, ready to connect the people who live and visit there.
Over three weeks we completed 56 runs with more than 250 passengers, including runs with 30-knot winds and a metre of chop that showed exactly what the VS–9 is made of.
Plans are underway to make the blue highway a reality and we're excited for what comes next.
