ABHIMANYU highlights the heroism shown by young Abhimanyu, a 16 year courageous hero, son of Arjuna decoding Padmavyuha - a secret patterning of warriors in the battle of Kurukshetra in the story of Mahabharatha.
The choreography lends itself to the exploration of the story through various dance movements & sound syllables taken from NATYASHASTRA, the 5000-year text on Indian dramaturgy interspersed with Kathak, the North Indian Classical Dance form.
