The 2019 event has a strong focus on the commercialisation of research to benefit the broader society with local technologies generated from publicly financed research and development showcased to secure partners to convert these technologies into products and services that impact the lives of ordinary people.
Close to 50 exhibitors are here showcasing a variety of scientific innovations and are among 3000 delegates attending here. The five-day programme kicked off with side-events on Monday and Tuesday, followed on by a high-level plenary and parallel sessions Wednesday. Today, the focus is on the IB matchmaking event, with innovators and funders scheduled to have one-on-one engagements.
