Teresa Teng (January 29, 1953 -- May 8, 1995) was a Taiwanese Chinese pop singer. She is regarded as one of Asia's greatest singers, famous for her romantic ballads. She died an untimely death at the age of 42 while on holiday in Chiangmai, Thailand, supposedly from an asthma attack.

This song was composed by 梁弘志 (Liang Hongzhi), a prolific Taiwanese song writer, and first released in 1979. This song was sung by many singers, but one of the most famous versions came from Teresa Teng.
