Aug. 12, 2019 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. alongside Tuckahoe Police Chief John Costanzo and Tuckahoe Mayor Greg Luisi in a press conference regarding the arrest of 47 year old Dr. Matthew Bonanno, a NYC-based plastic surgeon who lives in Great Neck, N.Y.
Tuckahoe Police took the defendant into custody outside Growler's Beer Bistro, Tuckahoe, where Bonanno was found to be illegally in possession of a handgun. A later search of his vehicle led to the discovery of a large cache of weapons including assault-style rifles, ammunition, and body armor. The defendant faces multiple counts of criminal weapons possession.
