Relax into this 37 minute yoga nidra to find peace. A guided meditation to explore a sense of your inner resource or your own personal safe haven, also known as 'Asraya'. This practice will help to invoke grounding energy that guides us to take control and responsibility of our own happiness, peace, and wellbeing. It will help you to discover, create, and define a sanctuary within yourself, a touchstone that you can call upon at any time, like an ally, a home away from home, a place where you feel safe, supported, loved, at peace within yourself. You can think of it like your happy place.
Begin by relaxing into a guided body scan to explore sensations throughout the physical body and to get in touch with a sense of pure beingness. Follow the breath as it carries you deeper and deeper into relaxation, exploring what it feels like to sink, softly, and then what it feels like to float, effortlessly. Explore both opposing sensations simultaneously. Then allow me to carry you into a jungle oasis where you find yourself standing at the edge of a crystal clear pool, as oasis. As you step down into these warms healing waters you find the reflection of your inner refuge on the surface. Imagine your most healing, safe, peaceful place. Step into this oasis and bask there for a while to absorb all of the healing benefits of your safe haven. Welcome in your Sankulpa, your intention, for you get to decide the life you want to create.
Emerge feeling grounded, rested, rejuvenated, and with a deep sense of peace, calm and wellbeing. And don't worry, you now have your inner resource with you like an ally. Carry it everywhere. Call upon when faced with a challenge, call upon it when you need to find peace, for it always exists within you. Sometimes it just takes remembering.
