Base Coat First
Spray your Ikonikolor Pro base coat and let it dry for at least 30 minutes before clear coat. This dry time is dependent on atmospheric conditions.
Step 3: Mix the Clear Coat
Mix 2 parts Component A with 1 part Component B and 20% reducer. Stir well and let it sit for 5 minutes before spraying. Reducer is dependent on application temperatures.
Step 4: Spray Time!
Use an HVLP gun with a 1.0–1.2 mm tip, 25–35 psi.
Spray 2 medium wet coats, waiting 45 minutes between coats.
Step 5: Let It Cure
Keep temps above 50°F for proper drying. If you need to recoat after 24 hours, sand with 320 grit first.
Bonus Tip:
Avoid late-day spraying outdoors—temp drops can ruin your finish.
