How-To apply Pettit Tuff Coat.

Описание: FB MARKETPLACE MISTAKE! Part 7 - Now that the Pettit Tuff Coat primer has dried, It's on to applying the Pettit Tuff Coat. I went with Platinum gray. It's a nice, neutral color that stays nice and cool on the water with the sun on it. It also goes well with the SeaFoam Green exterior which is up next.

This is a very simple process that needs very few application tools or rollers. I ended up just using one Tuff Coat 4" roller. I applied the entire first coat, rinsed it out and then re-used it again for the second coat. The Tuff Coat roller is specially designed to apply the coating evenly and leaves zero roller marks. The combination of the product and roller work really well.

A little hack here, there was a small separation on the transom where the two fiberglass shells come together. You can take some of the Tuff Coat rubber granule and pack that area, let it dry and then roll the Tuff Coat back over it. It hid that sealed up seam very well.
