This is the wreck of the US Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) McCulloch. This video was taken in August of 2021 using a towed camera sled and dynamic positioning to 'fly' the camera around the wreck.
The ship sank near Santa Barbara in 1917 after a collision with the passenger ship SS Governor in heavy fog.
This piece of history is disappearing quickly so it deserves to be well documented while there is still something left to look at.
