The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has greenlit new guidelines opening top roles, like SBI's MD, at SBI, LIC, and other Public Sector Banks (PSBs) to private sector professionals. However, the United Forum of Bankers' Unions (UFBU) is opposing this move, calling it an "attack on the public sector character" of these organizations.
