Troubled apartment gets private security after fatal fire

Описание: Destra Management LLC, the ownership group of Nob Hill Apartments, said it hired private security on Monday after a fire tore through Building three on Feb. 28.

The ownership group said that it's following directives from Syracuse fire officials. The private security is scheduled to be at the complex "24/7." Additionally, ownership said that the first floor of Building B has been boarded up.

Still, the owners said it has not received the order to allow residents back into the building, at least to retrieve their belongings. Many residents were displaced by the fire and the Syracuse Division of Code Enforcement deemed Building B unfit for human occupancy until repairs are made. The American Red Cross has set up a temporary shelter at Onondaga Community College for the affected tenants.
