What started as a simple market tour turned into the most hilarious day of flirting, joking, and unexpected marriage proposals from the incredibly friendly (and very single!) girls working at Pasar Raya Padang. The moment they heard an American speaking Indonesian in THEIR city, the wife jokes started flying - and yes, I got numbers again! 😂💍

10 minutes from Padang Beach, 15 minutes from Minangkabau Airport

🎭 WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS VIDEO:
Let me be VERY clear - I did NOT go to Pasar Raya looking for a wife! 😂 This video is all in good fun, and the "wife search" became a hilarious running joke throughout the day (just like in Solo!). BUT - the interactions were 100% real, the flirting was genuine, and yes, I actually got phone numbers from some of the girls! 📱 and Yes i do want a wife from Padang I like their values and morals its very attractive they are very beautiful and also they can cook me rendang everyday ;) haha

The women at Pasar Raya were incredibly welcoming, funny, playful, and when they found out I was a single American who speaks Indonesian living in THEIR city (Padang), the marriage jokes went CRAZY! This is authentic Minangkabau hospitality mixed with universal romantic comedy!

When foreigners make an effort to speak Indonesian, locals respond with warmth, humor, and playful teasing. The interactions you'll see are genuine moments of connection, laughter, cultural exchange, and yes - real flirting! 😂
