What should’ve been a simple cleanup and maintenance restoration turned into a slightly larger project when I needed to create a new lead screw and handle. In my effort to make a new handle that fit tightly into the existing lead screw, I inadvertently jammed it together and could not separate it. After heating and beating, I accidentally broke the lead screw. Forcing me to create another one. Luckily, I have the tools for that and it came out pretty well. Everything‘s better in blue.
