Описание: This project was recorded during the first lockdown in April last year (2020). Jon, Tom, Simon and myself have been playing quartets together for some years, purely as a social exercise, with no intention of ever performing in public. When lockdown struck and we were all thrown out of gainful employment and confined to our own homes, we decided to see if we could record (and film) something remotely to keep ourselves occupied. As anybody who has played in a Trombone Quartet knows, it is always fun to stitch up the Bass Trombonist with something really difficult, so naturally we decided that Slide Hampton's arrangement of Round Midnight would be just the thing to have a pop at. It has taken us a while to finish the video for this, as the intricacies of Green Screen technology have taken a bit of time to master. But the end result (from the warped creative mind of Tom Dunnett) is great fun and a suitably classy vehicle for Simon Minshall's masterly rendering of this trombone quartet classic.
