Join Honorary Curator Peter van Zeller has he brings the "River Esk" story up to the present day.
From R&GN : I've designed a combination link-and-pin/Heywood coupling for my 7-1/2" gauge.
From DAK : I have always regarded Esk as the prototype of the Romney locos. Also, a bit off topic, am I right the reason why Muriel was rebuilt as Irt was partly due to expense and partly due to Greenly and Paxman were busy with the RHDR
From GW : Dick Nick, surely
From R&GN : We had a vacuum motor powered steam up blower on the R&GN Ry.
From SD : South Tynedale Railway have a loco now that burns sawdust briquettes. Green Dragon I think?
From MT : Just picking up on the proposed Katie conversion. There is (or was?) a 15" gauge 0-4-2T under construction at the Moors Valley Railway, based on a TMA (?) replica Katie chassis. So that might give some idea of how it might have performed, if it's ever finished!
