Hyena – Reviving from the edge
In the biodiverse hills of Purulia, West Bengal, the declining presence of hyenas has raised serious concern. Mountaineer and researcher Joydeep Chakraborty has been working closely with local communities to protect the species. This film captures his journey — of challenges, collaboration, and shifting perceptions around a misunderstood animal.
The film is made under the Green Hub Central India (GHCI) fellowship, a project of Dusty Foot Foundation and Mahashakti Seva Kendra (MSK), that looks at empowering youth in environment conservation, sustainable agriculture and livelihood through the digital medium.
