Seven minor feasts we have,
Special feasts of our Lord,
Reminders of what He did.

We'll learn about each of them,
Remember and relive them.

6 Toba, January 14th,
Circumcision of the Lord,
When Jesus was circumcised
8 days after He was born.
Although He is Lord and King,
He still obeyed Moses' Law.

On the 13th of Toba,
January 21st,
Is the Wedding of Cana,
Is Jesus' first miracle.
He turned 6 jugs of water
Into the best wine of all.

8 Amshir, February 15th
Jesus entered the temple.
40 days after His birth,
St. Mary and St. Joseph
Presented Him there humbly
As commanded by the law.

Next in Holy Week we have
Holy or Maundy Thursday.
Jesus washed His disciples' feet
And established Communion.
That was His Last Supper with
Them before His resurrection.

First Sunday after Easter,
We call it Thomas Sunday.
Jesus appeared just for him
Because Thomas had doubted.
He showed him His hands and side
And told him: Be believing!

On the 24th of Pashans
Or June 1st, Jesus entered
Into our beloved land,
Into Egypt, and blessed it,
Escaping from King Herod
With His holy family.

13 Misra, August 19th
Is the Transfiguration Feast.
To Peter, and James and John,
He showed His glory on Mount Tabor.
Moses and Elijah appeared,
And also the Father spoke.

Our church in her wisdom,
For us, established those feasts,
To relive them and rejoice;
They are not just memories.
Keeping us firm in the faith,
Through our church, our faith increased!
