If you take a mid-April drive south along the side roads that run parallel to US HWY 35 from Hood River through Odell and Parkdale, you can see miles and miles of colorful orchards bursting in Pacific Northwest spring blossoms.
The wildflowers that bloom along historic US HWY 30 that runs east from Hood River to The Dalles, and the view from Rowena Crest and the historic hillside cemetery in Mosier are something to behold.
Nearby Mt. Hood to the south and Washington State's Mt. Adams to the north really stand out on a clear day.
