Pratapnagar Railway Station in Vadodara, a historic site where narrow gauge railways first arrived in 1880, is being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme. The station, which houses a workshop established in 1922, is set for major upgrades. The redevelopment includes a new station building with modern amenities, expanded circulating areas, and parking facilities. Two narrow gauge lines will be converted to broad gauge, and two new platforms will be added, including Platform No. 4. Additionally, the existing platforms will be extended and raised, and improvements will be made to signage, lighting, toilets, and water booths. A 12-meter-wide foot overbridge (FOB) with lifts will connect both sides of the city.
