Police officers have suffered broken arms and ribs after a 'kill the bill' protest, that saw hundreds gather in Bristol city centre, turned violent. Crowds gathered to demonstrate against a controversial Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill which would give the police in England and Wales more power to impose conditions on non-violent protests, including those deemed too noisy or a nuisance.
