FJ40 Revival First Drive in 10 Years

Описание: This Land Cruiser hasn’t driven in 10 years. This episode, we try to change that.

We work through the systems that need to be in place before a first drive can happen, starting with installing the pedal bucket and pedals, prepping and installing the driver’s seat, and getting the truck back on its own tires. From there, we move into suspension and steering work, including installing new shock absorbers, cleaning and prepping the steering components, assembling the tie rod ends and link bars, installing the center link, steering box, and mounting the drag link to the pitman arm.

Once the steering is assembled, we test it to make sure everything moves smoothly and correctly. Next up is the clutch system, where we install and bleed the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder to get the drivetrain functional again. After some final prep — including installing the fender and hood — the driveline goes in and it’s time to see if the FJ40 will finally move under its own power.
