Today I am running the Volksmarch Trail at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Florida. And since this park is home to a beautiful emerald natural spring, I am going to take a refreshing dip after my run! I absolutely love spending time in our Florida state parks in the summer as there is no shortage of activities, but, in my opinion, the best time to visit this park, is in the winter! There are no crowds, it is pin drop quiet and you have your best shot at viewing wildlife. Running the trails is extra magical and if the weather permits you can take a refreshing dip in the springs after your run, win win!
The Volksmarch Trail is a 6 mile loop through pristine Florida scrub and forest. You can choose your own adventure back here with many connectors. Check All Trails for more options.
