In February 2024 I solo hiked the North West Circuit (130km) on Stewart Island / Rakiura, New Zealand. It took me five days to complete and I stayed at huts or pitched my tent. The amazing thing about the island is not just the rough coastal terrain, but that it’s also one of the best spots of NZ to spot wild Kiwi birds!
