In January 2025, we hiked the Cascade Saddle Route a challenging overnight tramp in Mt Aspiring National Park, New Zealand. Starting in the West Matukituki Valley the track passes Mt Aspiring Hut before climbing to Cascade Saddle, with incredible views of the Dart Glacier, Mount Aspiring / Tititea, Mount Tyndall, and the Southern Alps. One of the most scenic alpine hikes on the South Island, if you're up for the steep 1400m climb!
