I seem to be getting plenty of comments regarding chime whistles on one of my other uploads. So I thought I would put together a short film dedicated to the sounds of the LNER A4 chime whistle.
For info the LNER A4's just have the chime whistle. The LNER A1 (Tornado) as both an A1 & an A4 chime whistle. They can use either independently or at the same time. Thats why it does not always sound the same.
The steam trains in the clip are as detailed below :-
LNER A4 no. 60019 Bittern, also seen as 4492 Dominion of New Zealand.
LNER A4 no. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley
LNER A1 no. 60163 Tornado
