Useful free programs for Windows- selected by me. 7. Winamp – the “legendary” music player (best)

Описание: In a series of videos, I will present you with useful, free programs (freeware and open source) that I use, which can help you in your daily work with your computer - music, cleaning, graphics, archiving, photo processing, texts and much more.

It was the very first player I tried many years ago, and the best part is that it’s still supported today. It’s also great that they’ve kept the option to choose different visual skins, which means I can continue using the classic one – unique and truly impressive. I’ve been using Winamp for many years, ever since I first got a computer, and I wouldn’t replace it with any other player for listening to mp3 music.

In the past, Winamp did not support video files, but I recently noticed that it can open them now. Still, when it comes to video playback, I’m used to other players — and I’ll be making a video about those as well.

Originally, Winamp was developed by the company Nullsoft, but later they discontinued its development. Years afterward, the rights were acquired by Radionomy Group, and today the official website points to this company as the one maintaining and developing the player: https://winamp.com/player
