ARCHIVE is a new XR training platform that makes robotics education simpler, safer, and more affordable. Learning industrial robotics is often hard and costly because it usually requires access to a physical robot; ARCHIVE removes that barrier by letting learners practice ROS programming in a gamified VR environment.
The project focuses on collaborative robots (cobots) and real shop-floor tasks. Using the MASTER-XR framework on Meta Quest 3 headsets, learners can train anywhere in a safe, guided setting that builds practical skills and confidence.
ARCHIVE combines short, goal-driven scenarios with immediate feedback and built-in analytics (speed, accuracy, progress). It supports solo and cooperative modes to fit both individual study and classroom or lab use. The aim is to increase motivation and retention while lowering cost and risk for students, SMEs, and training centers.
The work is delivered by the ETF Robotics Group (University of Belgrade) and EYV, pairing strong robotics pedagogy with XR/game-development expertise. Expected outputs include a working training prototype, pilot evaluations that evidence learning gains, and a plan for broad adoption in education and industry.
