California Child and Adolescent Mental Health Access Portal (Cal-MAP) is California’s free statewide pediatric behavioral health care program designed to increase timely access to mental health and substance use disorder care for youth aged 0-25.
Cal-MAP’s dedicated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers support primary care providers as they address their patients’ mental health and substance use needs. Through Cal-MAP, Primary Care Providers have access to real-time provider-to-provider consultations, resource navigation, and Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Continuing Education Unit (CEU)-eligible trainings that are grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.
By equipping Primary Care Providers with expert guidance and practical tools, Cal-MAP helps build provider confidence, reduce burnout, and ensure that children and adolescents receive effective mental and behavioral health care in a trusted, low-stigma setting.
