🔹 NEITHER
1️⃣ neither (subject alone → singular verb)
❌ Neither are correct.
✅ Neither is correct.

🧠 Exam rule:👉 Neither = not one → singular
2️⃣ neither of + plural noun (still singular!)
❌ Neither of the students are late.

🧠 Trap:Plural noun after of does NOT control the verb.
3️⃣ neither…nor (nearest subject rule)
❌ Neither the teacher nor the students is present.

🧠 Exam tip:👉 Verb agrees with the nearest noun.

🔹 NONE OF (VERY CONFUSING!)

(Exams prefer singular)

ဒီနေ့သင်ခန်းစာမှာကတော့ Either, Either of, Either...or..., Neither, Neither of, Neither...nor..., All of, Some of, None of, Both, Both of တို့နဲဲ့စထားတဲ့ ဝါကျတွေရဲ့ Subject-Verb Agreement အကြောင်းကို လေ့လာရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
Either, Either of နဲ့ Neither, Neither of တိုက singular verb နဲ့ပဲတွဲပါတယ်။ Either...or...နဲ့ Neither...nor...တို့နဲ့စတဲ့ ဝါကျတွေမှာတော့ or/nor တို့ရဲ့အနောက်မှာ ကပ်လျက်ရှိတဲ့ Noun က singular ဆိုရင် singular verb နဲ့ရေး၊ plural noun ဆိုရင်တော့ plural verb နဲ့ရေးရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Both နဲ့ Both of တို့မှာတော့ plural verb နဲ့ရေးရပါတယ်။
All of, Some of, None of, တို့မှာတော့ countable နဲ့ uncountable noun နှစ်မျိုးစလုံးနဲ့သုံးကြတာဖြစ်တာကြောင့် အကြောင်းအရာအပေါ်မူတည်ပြီး သုံးရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ သို့သော် Exam အတွက် formal ကျကျ ပြင်ဆင်နေတာဆိုရင်တော့ သေခြာရအောင် None of ကို singular verb နဲ့သုံးပါ၊ everyday English speaking မှာတော့ None of ကို plural verb နဲ့သုံးလို့ရတယ်လို့မှတ်ပါ။
