Join me on this culinary adventure as I share my experience from the moment we made our reservation for 5 PM. The restaurant's warm and serene ambiance immediately sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Our gracious host escorts us to our table, and the character and charm of Il Terrazzo come to life. Once seated, our attentive server introduces us to their comprehensive wine list and answers all our questions about their stellar menu options.
🍽️ Jared selects the Pollo Appollonia, a mouthwatering dish featuring pan-roasted chicken breast with prawns, bacon, tomato, roasted garlic, marsala wine, and basil, served with three cheese fusili and seasonal vegetables. My choice is the delectable Filetto di Manzo, a pan-seared center-cut beef tenderloin steak with brandy peppercorn sauce, accompanied by crispy roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Of course, I prefer my steak cooked medium-rare. Since Jared and I are non-drinkers, I opt for a refreshing sparkling water with ice, lime, and a straw, while Jared enjoys Victoria's finest tap water over ice. The warm herb bread and tapenade set the stage for the culinary masterpiece that follows.
The words that come to mind to describe our experience at Il Terrazzo are "scrumptious," "exquisite," "delicious," "flavor explosion," "stellar," and every superlative that implies "simply the best." The dishes arrive at our table expertly prepared, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and simply divine. Dining at Il Terrazzo is always a satisfying experience that leaves us eagerly anticipating our next reservation.
And then, a sweet surprise! Dessert is not something we usually indulge in after such a feast, but our server's recommendation leads us to try the Bocconi di Dolci. This delightful dessert sampler, curated by pastry chef Samantha Lewis, features hazelnut cheesecake, Panna Cotta, and Tiramisu. I struggle to find words that do justice to how fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented this dessert trio turned out to be.
