The feminine gender in Czech has 4 paradigms (žena, růže (nůše), píseň and kost). As said before, no distinction between the animate and inanimate is necessary in feminine gender. The ending of each feminine substantive will indicate to which paradigm it belongs and determine thus its declension. Easy!
